A: The Choir does not make a charge for any performance but instead money is collected through fund raising.

Aims Of The Choir

In 1999 the choir became a Registered Charity and by doing so had to redefine its role and intentions in the following way:-

1) To foster and promote the education of the general public in the appreciation of music in all its aspects. To co-operate with the Local Authorities, Educational Institutions and Cultural Societies relating to the practice and study of music in order to promote widespread performances of male choral work.

2) To establish or secure the establishment of a Community Hall, such a hall for activities promoted by the association in furtherance of the above objectives.

Stepping outside the above formalities, the fundamental aim of the choir is to be a choir composed of people who love singing, who will then perform in concert for any charity or worthwhile causing, thus raising funds for these causes. This can embrace needs such as a new roof for a Church, for a charity or to help an aspiring musician through college. Even on tour overseas we have helped raise money for charity.

The great beauty of it all is that we are doing something we really enjoy and are passionate about, at the same helping people achieve their aims or ambitions.

Mynyddislwyn Male Choir does not charge for any performance which raises money for any of the above causes. All it will ask for are the expenses that enable us to perform for your cause.
